Disney World Marks Hispanic Heritage Month With EPCOT Concerts and Luis Fonsi Visit

Walt Disney World’s September 15–October 15 celebration includes five Latin music acts at EPCOT, character appearances, resort movie programming and a recent visit from Luis Fonsi.

Walt Disney World’s Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month celebration runs from September 15 through October 15, with a run of Latin music acts at EPCOT and special programming across the resort.

The next five Eat to the Beat bookings are all part of the celebration. Latin Ambition performs September 15–17, followed by Grupo Mania September 20–21, Metro Latino Band September 22–24, Rey Ruiz October 5–6 and Viva Latina October 9–11.

Luis Fonsi Visits EPCOT

Luis Fonsi recently visited Walt Disney World and stopped at ¡Celebración Encanto! at EPCOT. The Puerto Rican singer also met Mirabel and Bruno, rode Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and met Mickey Mouse.

His visit is part of Disney’s coverage of the monthlong celebration. Disney has not announced a Fonsi performance or public appearance.

Characters, Movies and New Coco Merchandise

The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade at Magic Kingdom includes Mirabel, Miguel, Princess Elena of Avalor, José Carioca and Panchito. Select Movies Under the Stars showings at Walt Disney World Resort hotels will also feature stories, music and dance inspired by Hispanic and Latin American cultures.

A new Coco merchandise collection includes a Miguel mug, a floral T-shirt and an alebrije headband. Availability may vary during the celebration.
