The first of three large sections for the Disney Believe floated out at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, on September 18. The section includes the middle of Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, where its Grand Hall will be.

The shipyard builds these sections, called gigablocks, with walls, plumbing and wiring already in place. The forward section is next, followed by the aft section. Workers will then join the three pieces into the ship.

Disney expects the Disney Believe to begin sailing in late 2027.
