Bakso, the two-year-old Sumatran tiger at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, will move to another accredited zoo later this fall. Disney has not named the receiving zoo or announced an exact transfer date.
The move follows a recommendation from the Association of Zoos & Aquariums Species Survival Plan. The program coordinates care for endangered animals across accredited zoos.
Bakso was born to Sohni and Conrad in September 2024. Guests can still see him along Maharajah Jungle Trek before he leaves Animal Kingdom.
