Hailee Steinfeld became a mother while she was filming Disney's Hexed. She discussed the timing during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The detail lands close to the center of the movie. Steinfeld voices Billie, an impulsive teenager who discovers magical abilities and enters the witch realm of Hexe. Billie has to work with her cautious mother, Alice, voiced by Rashida Jones.

Hexed opens in theaters Nov. 25. Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand directed the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, with Josie Trinidad as co-director.
