Orlando International Airport has opened the first upgraded Gate Link track to passengers traveling to Gates 100–129. The new tram cars and rebuilt track entered service Wednesday, October 1.
Crews are now moving to the second track serving the same gate area. The completed track will keep carrying passengers while that work is underway.
The $253 million replacement project also covers the Gate Link connection to Gates 70–99. MCO says the work includes new running surfaces, power equipment, controls, communications systems and platform screen doors. Each new set of cars can carry up to 240 passengers.
