Pixar is among the studios receiving California film tax credits in the state’s latest 35-film award round.
California announced the awards Wednesday, October 7. Pixar is named among the studio recipients; its project, title and individual award are not identified.
Across the full 35-film round, California expects $1.08 billion in direct production spending, 5,453 cast and crew jobs and 1,049 shooting days. Those figures cover the entire slate, including 28 independent films.
Warner Bros., Paramount, Lionsgate and New Line Cinema also have projects in the round. Pixar’s inclusion concerns film production incentives. No title or release date accompanies the studio’s entry.
