Shanghai Disney Resort unveiled three Siberian crane sculptures at Wishing Star Park on Friday morning, October 9.
The metal birds are positioned over Wishing Star Lake in different stages of flight. The installation is titled “Magic Along the Flyway.”
The unveiling ceremony brought together representatives from the International Crane Foundation, local organizations and government, the sculptures’ artist, students, teachers and Disney cast members.
New sculptures connect two crane habitats
The sculptures connect Wishing Star Park, a wintering ground for migratory birds, with Poyang Lake, an important Siberian crane habitat. The installation arrives on the eve of World Migratory Bird Day.
