Disneyland Paris’s robotic Olaf malfunctioned, fell over and lost his carrot nose during a character appearance shown in a video shared Saturday, October 10, by Instagram creator wondoriane. The carrot came off his face as he fell, and performers moved in around him.
The clip begins with Olaf standing beside a set of large wooden doors. Moments later, the character malfunctions and falls onto the stone pavement. A performer crouches beside him while another approaches with a wooden box, and Olaf’s detached carrot nose lies nearby.
Disney’s Robotic Olaf
The Olaf character was introduced by Walt Disney Imagineering in November 2025. His expressive face, mouth and eyes move, and the design includes a removable carrot nose and arms.
Olaf was slated for the Arendelle Bay Show at World of Frozen in Disney Adventure World, with limited appearances planned for Hong Kong Disneyland. The archival image above shows the same robotic Olaf design before its park debut.
