The Dallas attorney said additional inspections and safety standards would benefit riders. His comments do not establish what caused Monday’s fatal fall.

Dallas attorney Frank Branson is calling for more ride inspections and safety standards after a man died on Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Branson told WFAA reporter Teresa Woodard in an interview published Tuesday night, “The more inspections you can get and the more standards you can put on these rides, the better off we’ll all be.”

His comments are a recommendation, not a finding about Goliath. The WFAA interview did not identify an inspection failure or coaster defect as the cause of the fatal incident.

CrowdLevels’ initial report has more details on the incident and investigation. Read more about victim Hassan Kariem, an Atlanta educator.
