James Spader says Ultron returns in VisionQuest older, more mature and even more dangerous. The actor described the villain’s change in a new Walt Disney Company interview published Tuesday.
Vision secretly kept a backup of Ultron after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. During the 12 years since, the saved AI has absorbed art, culture and entertainment while remaining trapped inside Vision.
“In some ways, he’s even more dangerous,” Spader said. He described the 2015 version of Ultron as a kid who consumed information as fast as he could. The version inside Vision has had years to process it.
The new interview arrives as VisionQuest begins its Disney+ run. Two episodes were scheduled for October 13, followed by two more episodes on October 21.
