SeaWorld Orlando temporarily closed Mako on Tuesday while engineers and safety experts examined the coaster’s restraint system and the rest of the ride.
A SeaWorld spokesperson told WESH 2 that Mako would remain closed while those checks were completed. The park described the closure as an extra precaution.
The inspection followed Monday’s Goliath incident at Six Flags Over Georgia. Authorities have not announced what caused that incident. Our earlier report has the confirmed details from Georgia.
