Six Flags Great Adventure has donated more than 1,200 admission tickets to Tickets for Kids, a nonprofit that places donated tickets with children and families who face financial barriers.
Six Flags values the donation at more than $80,000. Tickets for Kids works with community organizations, foster care programs and youth-focused nonprofits to distribute the admissions.
The first allotment has already been fully distributed to participating organizations, according to Tickets for Kids. That means the announcement does not open a public application or promise that more free tickets are currently available.
