Orion and Diamondback remain temporarily closed at Kings Island, and the park has not announced when either roller coaster will reopen.
A Kings Island spokesperson confirmed the closures Tuesday and said the company had temporarily closed similar attractions across its parks “out of an abundance of caution,” according to WHIO.
The precautionary action followed Monday’s fatal incident on Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia. Kings Island has not identified a technical problem with Orion or Diamondback, and the company has not provided a reopening schedule.
What guests should know
Orion and Diamondback are two separate roller coasters at Kings Island. The closure affects both rides, while the rest of the park’s operating lineup can vary by day.
Guests planning a visit should check Kings Island’s app or attraction listings before heading to either coaster. A temporary closure does not establish when a ride will return.
