Richard Riehle, the veteran character actor whose hundreds of credits included the voice of Sheriff Sam Brown in Disney’s Home on the Range, has died at 78.
TMZ reported Riehle’s death Sunday. Donal Logue, who worked with him for five seasons on Grounded for Life, later remembered Riehle as a generous colleague with a stack of classic novels close at hand.
Riehle voiced the sheriff in Disney’s 2004 animated western comedy. The film opened April 2, 2004.
