Six Flags Great Adventure will open four Holiday in the Park lands to the public Saturday, Nov. 21, after an exclusive Season Passholder preview Friday, Nov. 20.

The event divides the New Jersey park into Glittering Gateway, Santa's Arctic North Pole, Coastal Christmas and Sweet Street. Each area gets its own lights, entertainment and activities.

What is inside the four holiday lands

Glittering Gateway begins at the park entrance with a 65-foot Christmas tree, a nightly tree-lighting show and falling snow. Santa's Arctic North Pole adds visits with Santa, s'mores, holiday characters and fire pits.

Coastal Christmas brings a Jersey Shore theme to Shoreline Pier with lighted palm trees and live entertainment. Sweet Street leans into candy-colored décor and includes the Sweet Tooth Stage Silent Disco.

Elsewhere in the park, Holiday Road: LIVE on Tour! will play at Showcase Theater. The event lineup also includes a mirror maze, carolers, musicians, seasonal food and holiday photo locations.

Five rides and areas will stay closed

Ride operations will depend on weather and temperature. Jersey Devil Coaster, El Toro, Runaway Train, Tango and Bugs Bunny National Park will not operate during Holiday in the Park.
