Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Wisconsin Dells has unveiled Zambezi Rapids, the first installation of WhiteWater’s enclosed Boomerango Boombox wall ride.

The slide’s blue near-vertical wall stands outside the indoor water park building. Its enclosure lets the oversized feature extend beyond the indoor footprint while keeping riders inside the slide.

What riders will encounter

Zambezi Rapids combines the wall ride with a Constrictor section for high-banking turns. Riders approach the drop beneath a low roof, with translucent fiberglass panels bringing light into portions of the enclosed course.

The design is built for Wisconsin’s temperature swings, including windows that can open for summer air circulation and connections designed to accommodate fiberglass expansion and contraction.

An opening date was not included in the October 19 unveiling.
