Chris Pratt says Marvel has taken concrete steps toward bringing Star-Lord back, though he did not reveal the project or timing.

In an interview with The Playlist published Wednesday, Pratt said his conversations with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and co-president Lou D’Esposito had moved into action aimed at following through on the promise of Star-Lord’s return.

Pratt said “you’ll see Star-Lord again,” then added that he was not at liberty to say when. He did not tie the return to a specific movie or series, and no date accompanied his comments.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, released in 2023, ended with an on-screen promise that the legendary Star-Lord would return. Pratt played Peter Quill in the film.
