WaterWorld marks 31 years at Universal Studios Hollywood on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The live stunt show opened on October 21, 1995.
The production packs its lagoon with jumping jet skis, plunges, firefights and explosions. Its signature plane crash sends an aircraft over the atoll wall and into the water in front of the audience.
WaterWorld is the park’s longest-running show. Thirty-one years in, the movie-inspired attraction is still built around live performers, water and a very loud arrival by air.
