The Glow Life science contest has extended its entry deadline to Friday, Dec. 4, 2026, for eligible fifth-grade classrooms in selected Tennessee and North Carolina counties near Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Five winning classes will receive a spring 2027 trip to Dollywood, including a chance to experience NightFlight Expedition. The indoor attraction draws on the bioluminescence found in the Smokies.
Classroom teachers and homeschool leaders may submit one project for each class or group. Students can build their entry around the contest’s free lessons on bioluminescence and biofluorescence.
Teachers can use the official Glow Life page to enter. The contest rules list the eligible counties and full project requirements.
