Six Flags will add seat belts to Goliath and other roller coasters with similar restraints.
The company announced the measure Thursday in an update from president and CEO John Reilly. Six Flags did not name the other coasters or give a timetable for installing the seat belts.
Independent review across every Six Flags park
Six Flags also hired independent engineers and ride inspection specialists to review current safety procedures across its full portfolio of rides and attractions at every park.
The company described both steps as additional safety measures. Its statement did not say the review had identified a defect, and it did not connect the planned seat belts to a cause.
Goliath is a steel hypercoaster at Six Flags Over Georgia. A separate CrowdLevels report covers the October incident and Georgia’s investigation.
