Hollywood Drift’s switch track at The Spike moves between two positions in a new 28-second video from the construction site at Universal Studios Florida.
The first movement sets the track for cars to descend The Spike. The second curves the track from the midcourse brake run, according to the video’s creator, bioreconstruct.
Video of movement of The Spike switch track, combined with audio recorded separately 300 ft away. Air hiss when the switch track is in proper position.

The clip combines the footage with separately recorded audio
The sound in the clip was recorded separately about 300 feet away and combined with the video. That distinction matters: the hiss heard in the clip is not synchronized audio captured alongside the close view of the moving track.
Only the switch track moves in the footage. The clip documents a specific piece of work at the construction site without establishing that testing is complete or that the ride is ready to open.
