Paul Anthony Kelly says he and Jessica Lange learned their American Horror Story: 13 tango about an hour before filming it.
Kelly told TheWrap that both actors occasionally misstepped once the cameras rolled. The slips turned into laughs rather than a stop-and-reset rehearsal.
That was all the preparation the pair needed for the dance. Kelly called filming with Lange “so much fun.”
The moment appears in American Horror Story: 13. Kelly is new to the series this season, while Lange returns as Constance Langdon.
