Alton Towers will permanently close The World of David Walliams as its 2026 peak season ends.
A Merlin Entertainments spokesperson told Deadline the company had “taken the decision to permanently close the World of David Walliams” after its regular review of rides and attractions across the resort.
The themed area opened in 2021, bringing characters from Walliams’ books into the park, including Gangsta Granny.
