Toshiyuki Morikawa will voice Doctor Doom in the Japanese-language version of Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel Japan announced Monday night.
Robert Downey Jr., who plays Doctor Doom in the original English-language performance, revealed Morikawa’s casting in a short video message. Marvel Japan published the announcement Tuesday morning in Japan.
Morikawa said he plans to approach the role as the culmination of his 40 years as a voice actor. His official agency profile spells his given name Toshiyuki.
