Privacy Policy

CrowdLevels provides a free theme park crowd calculator for Disney and Universal trip planning. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use this website and how that information is used.

Information We Collect

When you use the calculator, you may enter trip dates, park selections, and priority rankings. CrowdLevels uses that information to generate calculator results and improve the planning experience.

The site and its hosting provider process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested page, and request time to deliver and secure the site. The hosting provider also derives an approximate country and state or province from the request IP address so CrowdLevels can apply regional privacy controls. When an IP address is classified as California, CrowdLevels may compare that classification with the browser's time-zone setting to avoid applying California controls to a device clearly set to another U.S. region. The time-zone setting and resulting broad regional classification are used by the same-origin privacy endpoint and are not stored in a server-side consent database.

How We Use Information

Cookies and Analytics

CrowdLevels uses Vercel Web Analytics on site visits for cookie-free aggregate traffic reporting. Vercel Web Analytics does not set cookies or create a persistent visitor identifier. It may process the page address, referring page, event time, broad location, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel derives a daily visitor hash from the incoming request and discards the session identifier after 24 hours. CrowdLevels uses this service to count visits and page views and does not send custom-event personal information to it.

For visits identified as California after the regional consistency check, visits outside the United States, and visits whose location cannot be determined, Google Analytics stays off until the visitor allows Analytics. For visits identified as other U.S. regions, Google Analytics is on by default and can be turned off at any time through Privacy Choices. If a browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, optional analytics stays off automatically.

When active, the Google tag measures page visits and interactions and may process device and browser details, approximate location, referring page, pages visited, and interaction events. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_*. Their default expiration is up to two years, subject to browser limits. CrowdLevels does not use advertising, retargeting, or conversion tags.

Embedded Media

Some news and guide pages contain optional posts or videos from X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or Reddit. Their scripts and frames stay off until you allow Embedded Media. If you allow an embed to load, its provider may receive your IP address, browser details, and the address of the CrowdLevels page you are viewing, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy.

Your Consent Record

A first-party cookie named crowdlevels_consent stores a choice for about six months after you use the privacy panel or when CrowdLevels applies Global Privacy Control. It contains the selected categories, a random consent ID, decision dates, the policy revision, and a broad regional choice context. A matching record is saved in your browser's local storage. These records stay in your browser and allow the site to apply and remember the choice on later visits.

Sharing

CrowdLevels does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help host, secure, analyze, and operate the website. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect the site, users, or others.

Children

The website is intended for general trip planning and is not directed to children under 13. CrowdLevels does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Choices

You may accept, reject, or change optional services at any time. A Privacy Choices link appears in the footer throughout the site. The Analytics choice in that panel controls Google Analytics; withdrawing it clears the Google Analytics cookies that CrowdLevels can remove from this site. Cookie-free aggregate measurement through Vercel Web Analytics continues because it does not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Global Privacy Control is checked on each visit and takes priority over a saved Google Analytics choice. Clearing browser cookies or local storage removes a saved choice. Visitors in prior-consent regions will be asked again when no current choice is available.

If you have a privacy request, contact CrowdLevels at info@crowdlevels.com.

Changes

CrowdLevels may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
