Six Flags Over Georgia is moving into its full summer schedule this week. Amusement Today reported Tuesday, May 19, 2026, that the park starts daily operations Friday, May 22, with Hurricane Harbor Atlanta opening the same day and a summer entertainment lineup built around Memorial Day weekend.
The opening weekend combines the start of daily operations, the Hurricane Harbor Atlanta opening, Memorial Day promotions, and the launch of SPLASH! Water Parade.
The summer dates
Hurricane Harbor Atlanta opens May 22, while SPLASH! Water Parade runs May 23 through June 14, Tuesday through Sunday with no parade on Mondays.

Later in the summer, the announced lineup includes Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&M's on July 4 and 5, plus the new DC Heroes and Villains Fest from July 11 through August 2. The sequence is easy to follow: water park first, parade next, then holiday fireworks and a character-heavy festival in July.
Amusement Today's report also says the park will offer free admission for active military personnel and veterans May 22 through May 25. The offer must be redeemed day-of and in person at the front entrance, with valid military ID required. Discounted friend-and-family tickets are handled online.
The sale clock is ticking too
Six Flags Over Georgia also has a Memorial Day Sale ending May 25, with up-to-50% savings on tickets, passes, memberships, and more. Discounts may be lower by product, and the deal is online only.

The current push also includes Gold Membership pricing starting as low as $7 per month in the public announcement. Taxes, fees, term rules, parking, drink perks, access to other parks, and benefit limits vary by purchase path and membership type.
The offers and entertainment dates are concentrated around May 22-25, the same window as Memorial Day weekend.
