Disneyland Resort will drop its 11 a.m. Park Hopper wait on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, according to Mickey Visit, which reported that Disney confirmed the change directly.
The current rule requires guests with Park Hopper tickets or Magic Key passes to wait until 11 a.m. before moving between Disneyland Park in Anaheim and Disney California Adventure. Starting June 9, Mickey Visit reports that eligible guests can park hop at any time, subject to availability.
The report also says guests will still choose a starting park when making a reservation. They will no longer need to tap into that starting park before hopping, according to Mickey Visit.
Reservations still stay in the mix
Disneyland still requires valid admission and a theme park reservation for each guest age 3 and older. If a park reaches capacity, Disney can stop incoming park-hopping guests even when the time restriction is gone.
The capacity caveat will show up most on high-demand days, special-event mornings, and dates when one park has a stronger draw. A ride update, festival food lineup, entertainment change, or Magic Key rush can still shape which gates feel tighter first.
Park-hopping rules after June 9
The 11 a.m. rule limited early dining, Lightning Lane return times, and rope-drop plans for guests who wanted to start at one park and move quickly to the other. Removing the wait lets guests follow return times or shift plans earlier in the day.
Disney has been loosening park-hopping friction in pieces. Park reservations remain at Disneyland, while Walt Disney World has removed most reservation requirements for date-based tickets and ended most all-day Park Hopper restrictions earlier.
Daps Magic also reported the June 9 date. Disneyland's reservation system still matters after the change: guests need valid admission and a same-day park reservation, and park hopping remains subject to capacity.
