Universal Orlando has MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack at Universal Studios Florida closed June 1 through June 16, adding a short early-summer refurbishment to the resort's schedule.
Universal also has Pteranodon Flyers at Universal Islands of Adventure closed February 27 through May 21. That puts the Jurassic Park ride on track to return Friday, May 22, after a refurbishment that has stretched across most of the spring season.
Other Universal Orlando refurbishments include Jurassic Park River Adventure through November 19, Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show from May 12 through winter 2026, Po's Kung Fu Training Camp and Po Live! from May 18 through July 3, and Me Ship, The Olive from May 26 through June 9.
June brings another Universal Studios Florida gap
MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack is the interactive shooter in World Expo, with six-rider vehicles, practical sets, alien targets, and a final scoring reveal. The ride opened in 2000 and remains one of the park's older indoor attractions.
Undercover Tourist's refurbishment tracker also lists MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack closed June 1 through June 16. The same tracker matches Universal's Pteranodon Flyers dates and notes the longer Jurassic Park River Adventure refurbishment at Islands of Adventure.
June 1 falls shortly after Memorial Day weekend and before the heaviest July travel period. Universal Studios Florida still has major indoor capacity during that stretch, but the closure removes one of the park's classic repeat-rider attractions for two full weeks.
Pteranodon Flyers reaches its return window
Pteranodon Flyers has been a recurring watch item for Universal fans because the ride has unusual access rules and limited throughput. Children between 36 and 56 inches must ride with a supervising companion, while guests over 56 inches generally need an accompanying child in the required height range.
TouringPlans lists the same February 27 through May 21 closure window in its recorded Pteranodon Flyers closure history. Inside Universal reported in March that Universal had extended the refurbishment into May, with no detailed scope released by the resort.
Universal has not announced a themed change for Pteranodon Flyers. The ride remains a gentle Camp Jurassic flight over the prehistoric play area.
