Robert Herrick has returned to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios after being injured in the show's December boulder incident.

WFTV reported Saturday that Herrick was back in the show this week and performed again Friday. Fellow cast members marked the return with signs welcoming him back after months away from the stage.

The December 30 incident happened during the Raiders of the Lost Ark boulder scene, when the 400-pound prop moved off its track and rolled toward the audience. Herrick stepped into its path and was injured before the prop reached spectators.

The Associated Press reported at the time that Disney modified the show while its safety team reviewed what happened. The boulder element has not returned, and adjusted staging continues for now.

The show remains one of the long-running anchors of Echo Lake, mixing stunt work, pyrotechnics, fight choreography, and behind-the-scenes demonstrations in a roughly 30-minute outdoor production. It has been part of the park since the Disney-MGM Studios era, which is why even a single modified scene gets noticed by repeat Hollywood Studios visitors.

Herrick is back at work, the show is still running, and the boulder sequence remains changed while Disney keeps the safety review reflected on stage.
