Steel framing for the future Indiana Jones temple is rising higher at the former DINOSAUR entrance in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

BlogMickey's May 30 aerial photos show the temple frame climbing above the former DINOSAUR facade, bringing the Tropical Americas concept art into clearer shape behind the construction walls.

Indiana Jones Temple Construction

The visible framing sits at the front of the former DINOSAUR building, where Disney is creating a new Indiana Jones adventure for Tropical Americas. The ride will send guests toward a Maya temple that Indy has discovered in the attraction story.

The new aerial look follows a set-installation permit filed May 27 for the same project area at 501 Restaurantosaurus Rd. That filing named Icarus Exhibits Inc. for set-element work and added another contractor to the scenic buildout already underway.

Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom

Disney is replacing DinoLand U.S.A. with Tropical Americas, a land centered on Pueblo Esperanza, an Encanto attraction, the Indiana Jones ride, a large quick-service restaurant, and a carousel with carved Disney animal figures.

Tropical Americas is scheduled to open in 2027. Disney has said the Animal Kingdom Indiana Jones attraction will be different from other Indiana Jones rides around the world.
