Universal Orlando has Pteranodon Flyers at Universal Islands of Adventure closed through July 2, extending the Camp Jurassic ride's refurbishment well past the May return window previously shown on the resort calendar.
Me Ship, The Olive closes May 26 through June 9. Both attractions sit inside Islands of Adventure, though the closures affect different corners of the park.
Pteranodon Flyers has been closed since February 27. Earlier Universal calendar listings had the suspended glider returning in late May, and a May 21 CrowdLevels operations story noted that the ride was nearing that return window.
The ride has always been a little odd by Universal standards: it is gentle, slow-moving, and built around Camp Jurassic's child-focused rules. Guests over the listed child-height range generally need to ride with a qualifying child, which keeps capacity tight and makes even small operational changes noticeable for families who can use it.
Universal Orlando refurbishment dates
Jurassic Park River Adventure remains closed through November 19. Pteranodon Flyers is closed through July 2, and Me Ship, The Olive closes May 26 through June 9 at Islands of Adventure.
Universal Studios Florida still has MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack listed for a June 1 through June 16 closure. Po's Kung Fu Training Camp and Po Live! remain listed through July 3, and Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show remains down through winter 2026.
Universal has not announced a themed change for Pteranodon Flyers. For now, the update is a calendar change, not a retheme announcement.
