Tormenta Rampaging Run has begun testing at Six Flags Over Texas, and the first official video shows the train finally dropping from the station gate.
Six Flags Over Texas shared the 23-second testing video Wednesday morning. The clip shows the train climbing into position, pausing at the edge, and diving into the course. For coaster fans, that is the good stuff. Track construction is one thing. A train moving under its own operating program is another.

Tormenta Rampaging Run Testing
The 2026 coaster is planned for Rancho de la Tormenta, the new Spanish village between the Mexico and Spain sections of the Arlington park. The ride stands 309 feet tall, reaches 87 mph, runs along 4,199 feet of track, drops at 95 degrees, and has a 48-inch minimum height.
Six Flags is billing Tormenta Rampaging Run as the tallest, fastest, and longest dive coaster in the world. The ride's claimed records also include a 285-foot drop, a 218-foot Immelmann inversion, and a 179-foot vertical coaster loop.
Testing does not set an opening date. The next milestone is a preview window or a first public operating day. For coaster fans watching the build, the train is finally moving.
