Werewolf Gorge will open at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in 2027, adding a 4,120-foot family launch coaster to the San Antonio park for its 35th anniversary season.

The new Vekoma coaster will use four launches, a mid-course rollback, a 40-foot drop, an 85-foot terrain change, and 32 floater airtime moments. Six Flags is billing it as the world's longest family launch coaster and the longest coaster in Fiesta Texas history.

The story sends riders into a deserted silver mine in the park's quarry setting, where Jasper Bunyan's roadside attraction has been built around cryptid lore. The queue will include the Museum of Cryptids and Werewolf Museum before the ride turns into a high-speed escape through the quarry.

The coaster's minimum height requirement is 39 inches, which puts Werewolf Gorge in the same family-thrill conversation as Dollywood's Big Bear Mountain while giving Fiesta Texas a longer layout and a heavier themed package.

2027 Coaster Details

Six Flags announced the coaster during its FT92: Under the Blue Moon event on May 30. The reveal followed a long teaser campaign built around full moons, quarry legends, and the Crackaxle Canyon setting.

Werewolf Gorge joins a busy Texas coaster pipeline for the combined Six Flags company. Six Flags Over Texas is also preparing Tormenta Rampaging Run, the 309-foot giga dive coaster now testing in Arlington.
