Universal Studios Japan opens applications June 10 for Grand Royal annual-pass holders who want access to the Universal Summer Matsuri Night: Neon Glow Up opening ceremony on July 1.
Eligible guests need a Universal Prime Annual Pass Grand Royal purchase by June 7. The application is limited to that annual-pass tier.
The opening ceremony leads into a summer night event that runs July 1 through Aug. 26. The event is not scheduled on Aug. 21.

Universal Summer Matsuri Night Lineup
Universal Summer Matsuri Night runs 6:30 to 9 p.m. on most event nights, with 8 p.m. finishes on July 3 and Aug. 22.
NO LIMIT! Glow Up Oh! Matsuri brings water and foam to Gramercy Park. Minion BOO-YA Block Party runs at Mel's Stage, and Glow Up Street Performance adds street shows across the Hollywood and New York areas.
USJ is also selling a Summer Season Pass for afternoon admission, a Night Pass for 5 p.m. entry, and a Summer Matsuri Satisfaction Set that bundles a special viewing area ticket, food items, and one Express Pass selection.
