Universal Studios Hollywood will run a new America 250 fireworks show July 3 and 4, adding a two-night Independence Day event to the park's summer calendar.

The fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m. each night. Universal also plans fife and drum performances, patriotic decorations, character encounters, rides, and other park entertainment during the event.

The celebration is included with theme park admission or an annual or seasonal pass, subject to blockout dates and restrictions. The Fourth of July event is park-wide and runs during regular park hours.

The two-night event expands Universal's standard July 4 celebration. The new schedule adds July 3, the America 250 framing, and the 9 p.m. fireworks time.

America's 250th anniversary falls on July 4, 2026. Disney has already tied the semiquincentennial to extended fireworks runs at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park, so Universal Studios Hollywood now joins the Southern California theme-park holiday slate with a dedicated anniversary show.

Universal warns that event details and activities can change or be canceled. Guests should recheck park hours, pass blockout calendars, and day-of weather before making the drive to Universal City.
