Pixar released the first teaser for Disney and Pixar's Gatto on June 11, setting the original feature for a March 5, 2027 theatrical release.
The teaser gives the studio's Venice cat story its first broad public look, with Nero moving through moonlit rooftops, canals, and cramped interiors in a painterly visual style.

Gatto Teaser and Release Date
The teaser runs about a minute and closes with the March 5 date. Pixar also published official Gatto imagery, including the teaser still used above.
Disney introduced Gatto at the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival as an original Pixar feature from director Enrico Casarosa and producer Andrea Warren, the filmmaking team behind Luca.
Nero, Venice, and Pixar's Next Original Film
The story follows Nero, a black cat in Venice who starts questioning the lives he has spent in the city's canals and alleyways. Nero is indebted to a local feline mob boss and forms an unexpected friendship that may change his path.
The March 5 date is earlier than the summer 2027 window Disney used when the project was first announced at Annecy.
