Four riders were rescued from SkyScreamer at Six Flags St. Louis on Thursday evening after the swing ride stopped about 120 feet above the park.
KMOX reported that two adults and two children were on the ride when fire crews from the St. Louis area responded. The rescue began after 5:30 p.m. CDT and ended before the outlet's 8:13 p.m. update.
Six Flags St. Louis told KMOX the ride stopped mid-cycle with four guests on board. The park said employees could not lower the swings manually, so the fire department was called under safety protocol.
