Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is scheduled to reopen Thursday, June 18, at Disney California Adventure after a long Pixar Pier refurbishment.
Disney's attraction page still lists the ride as closed for refurbishment today, June 13. The same official attraction data lists operating hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, and Friday, June 19.
CrowdLevels currently shows the ride in refurbishment in its Disney California Adventure data. That status should change once the ride returns to the daily operating lineup.
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind Refurbishment
The Pixar Pier ride has been one of Disney California Adventure's longer-running 2026 closures. It is an any-height family spinner with eight Memory Mover vehicles themed to Riley's emotions from Pixar's Inside Out.
The reopening gives Pixar Pier back a small-capacity family ride during Disneyland Resort's 70th anniversary summer. Toy Story Midway Mania, Incredicoaster, Jessie’s Critter Carousel, and Pixar Pal-A-Round have remained the bigger ride draws on the pier while the spinner has been closed.
June 18 Operating Hours
The listed June 18 return is useful for families planning Disney California Adventure days next week, but it is still a scheduled reopening. Refurbishment calendars can shift, especially for rides that have already had extended downtime.
