Six Flags Great America will show Along for the Ride in Snowshoe Saloon from June 20 through Aug. 9 as part of the park's 50th Anniversary Celebration.

The anniversary film runs Fridays through Sundays at 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. The short video looks back at 50 years of rides and park history.

Along for the Ride Schedule

Snowshoe Saloon sits in the County Fair section of Six Flags Great America. The venue gives the anniversary film a fixed indoor stop during weekend visits rather than a one-day birthday event.

The film starts the same day American Eagle is scheduled to resume racing. Together, the two June 20 additions give the park another anniversary-weekend anchor after the May 29 birthday event.

Six Flags Great America Anniversary Season

Six Flags Great America opened in 1976 and has been running 50th-anniversary events, museum displays, and ride updates during the 2026 season. The Legacy Museum opened in the Emporium with park artifacts, old signs, costumes, models, and anniversary displays.
