Cinderella Castle Dream Lights are still absent from Magic Kingdom's 2026 holiday lineup, which brings Frozen Holiday Surprise back to the castle for Walt Disney World's Nov. 13 through Jan. 6 season.
At Magic Kingdom, guests can gather at Cinderella Castle for Frozen Holiday Surprise, with Olaf and more than 100 snowgies decorating the castle before Elsa turns it into a glowing ice palace.
Frozen Holiday Surprise Remains the Castle Show
The 2026 holiday entertainment slate keeps Frozen Holiday Surprise as the main castle lighting show. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party also brings Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks back to Cinderella Castle, using holiday projections, lighting effects, and fireworks during party nights.
The separately ticketed party runs 25 nights from Nov. 8 through Dec. 22. Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away continues on non-party nights, while Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade replaces it on party nights.
What the Dream Lights Were
The Dream Lights were the physical canopy of tiny white lights draped over Cinderella Castle, giving the front of the park an icy look that regular holiday projections have never quite copied.
By the late 2000s, thousands of LED lights had been added to Cinderella Castle for the holidays, giving it the old "dipped in sugar" look. The physical-light display required lights across the castle exterior, while the current lineup leans on projection mapping and staged entertainment.

Disney has not announced a 2026 return for the physical Dream Lights display. The named castle holiday offerings remain Frozen Holiday Surprise during the season and Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
