Report: Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift Team Member Previews Start June 29 at Universal Studios Hollywood

The employee preview window is the next public-facing step before Universal announces guest technical rehearsals or an opening date.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift team member previews are scheduled to begin Monday, June 29, at Universal Studios Hollywood, according to Theme Park Insider.

Robert Niles reported that the preview opens the new coaster to a wider range of Universal employees after limited rides for Universal Creative and public relations teams. Guest technical rehearsals have not been announced.

Universal has kept the coaster in a summer 2026 opening window after correcting an incorrect opening date that appeared on the park's website earlier this month.

Hollywood Drift Nears Its Guest Opening

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is Universal Studios Hollywood's first high-speed outdoor roller coaster. The Upper Lot ride uses 360-degree rotating vehicles designed to create a drifting motion.

The coaster reaches a listed top speed of 72 mph and runs along 4,100 feet of track. Universal's vehicle lineup includes a Dodge Charger, Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R and Toyota Supra.

Team member previews are a standard late-stage step for major attractions, but they do not guarantee immediate public rides. Universal has not announced when guests will be invited into technical rehearsals.
