Disney shared the first look at a new waterbuck calf born at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World.
The calf appears in a July 2 photo from the resort. Disney has not announced the calf's name or a public viewing schedule.
Waterbuck Calf at Animal Kingdom Lodge
Waterbuck are antelope commonly found near rivers and grasslands in Africa. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has four savannas with more than 200 hoofed animals and birds, though sightings vary by location, weather, time of day, and animal-care routines.
The birth continues a busy stretch of Disney animal-care updates. Cinnamon, an Ankole calf, joined Kilimanjaro Safaris in June, and Bakari, a male western lowland gorilla, recently joined the family troop on Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.
