Four Six Flags Over Georgia guests were taken to a hospital Sunday evening after a tree fell near the park entrance during severe weather.
A Six Flags statement provided to WSB-TV said park medical staff and local EMS responded near the entrance after the guests were struck, and all four were transported for further evaluation.
Local fire officials initially described a range of three to five people hit by a fallen limb, with two serious injuries, according to the WSB-TV report. The station reported that a severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for the area until 7:15 p.m.
Six Flags Over Georgia Storm Incident
No later public condition update for the guests had been released early Monday morning.
The incident happened at the Atlanta-area park in Austell, northwest of downtown Atlanta. Summer thunderstorms can move through Cobb County quickly, so guests planning a park day after severe weather should check park hours and weather alerts before leaving.
