Brush fire breaks out under X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain UPDATE: Park Reopens

Los Angeles County fire crews responded Thursday after a brush fire ignited beneath the X2 roller coaster in Valencia.

A brush fire broke out beneath X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Thursday, June 11, drawing a Los Angeles County fire response to the Valencia park.

KTLA reported that crews battled the fire under the coaster after it ignited in the 26100 block of Magic Mountain Parkway. The station also shared aerial footage of smoke near the ride structure.

KTLA did not report injuries or confirmed ride damage in its original report.

X2 fire response at Six Flags Magic Mountain

X2 is Six Flags Magic Mountain's fourth-dimension coaster in Baja Ridge, with a 48-inch minimum height requirement.

Six Flags Magic Mountain's main site did not show a ride-specific X2 operating notice overnight.

Update: KTLA later reported that officials gave the all-clear at Magic Mountain and that Six Flags expected the park to reopen around 12:30 p.m. after the fire response.
