Ken Potrock is retiring from The Walt Disney Company after Super Bowl LXI in February 2027, ending a Disney career that began with the launch of Disney Cruise Line.

Potrock is president of Major Events Integration for The Walt Disney Company. He previously served as president of Disneyland Resort from 2020 to 2025.

The retirement timing keeps him in place through Disney's work around Super Bowl LXI in Los Angeles, one of several large California events tied to his current role.

Ken Potrock's Disney Career

Potrock began his Disney career in 1995 as vice president of marketing for Disney Cruise Line, helping launch Disney's entry into the cruise business.

His Disney roles later included president of Disney Consumer Products and senior vice president posts across Disney Sports Enterprises, Disney Vacation Club, Golden Oak, and Adventures by Disney.

At Disneyland Resort, Potrock led the Anaheim resort through its pandemic reopening period, DisneylandForward approval, Avengers Campus, Pixar Place Hotel, San Fransokyo Square, Mickey's Toontown, and early work tied to the planned Avatar experience.

Disney Major Events Integration

Disney created Potrock's Major Events Integration role in January 2025. The position covers companywide planning around large sports, entertainment, and tourism events in California and across the United States.

The portfolio includes America's 250th anniversary and the FIFA World Cup in 2026, the Grammy Awards and Super Bowl LXI in 2027, and the LA Summer Olympics and Mickey Mouse's 100th anniversary in 2028.

Potrock's announcement follows a busy stretch of Disney Experiences leadership movement. Joe Schott takes over as Walt Disney World Resort president August 3, while Thomas Mazloum moved from Disneyland Resort president to chairman of Disney Experiences earlier this year.
