Universal Studios Japan will make its Standard Annual Pass blackout-date 1-Day Studio Pass tickets half price for a limited 25th-anniversary window, with sales opening July 15.

The half-price benefit applies to intended entry dates from Sept. 12 through Dec. 31, 2026. It is limited to Universal Prime Annual Pass Standard holders, the pass tier that carries about 90 blackout dates across the year.

USJ Standard Annual Pass Blackout Discount

The normal Standard passholder benefit discounts blackout-date 1-Day Studio Pass tickets by 30 percent. Under that version, adult blackout-date tickets start at JPY 6,230 and child tickets start at JPY 3,990, compared with regular starting prices of JPY 8,900 and JPY 5,700.

The Standard Annual Pass itself costs JPY 22,000 for adults and JPY 15,400 for children ages 4 to 11.

Club Universal Ticket Rules

Standard passholders need their Annual Pass registered in Club Universal before using the discounted ticket benefit. The discount is sold through the official web ticket store, with one discounted blackout-date ticket per registered Standard Annual Pass.

Universal Studios Japan also warns that each date has a limited ticket allocation. Sales can end once the limit is reached.
