Universal Studios Japan added another wave of 25th-anniversary manhole covers in Osaka, with the latest locations around Shinsaibashi, Nipponbashi, Dotonbori, and Nankai Namba.

The July 10 design uses Dotonbori imagery with Woody Woodpecker, Jaws, and the Osaka NO LIMIT! mark on the cover.

USJ's 25-Cover Osaka Project

Universal Studios Japan donated the covers to Osaka as a 25th-anniversary city project. The full set includes five original designs across 25 locations, pairing park characters with Osaka landmarks.

The first five covers were installed March 31 in Fukushima, Tanimachi 4-chome, Shin-Osaka, Kyocera Dome Osaka, and Sakuranomiya. The remaining 20 covers were planned for later installation across the city.

Where the New Covers Fit

The new Dotonbori-themed group gives visitors another anniversary photo stop outside the park gates, this time in some of Osaka's busiest sightseeing and transit areas.

The covers are part of Universal Studios Japan's broader Discover U anniversary year, which has also included seasonal shows, food events, and city-facing promotions around Osaka.
