Walt Disney Imagineering shared a new behind-the-scenes Reel Friday showing the script work behind the Mandalorian and Grogu mission on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

The short video comes from Senior Story Lead Riley R. and shows script pages, cockpit-monitor footage, and Mandalorian dialogue for the ride mission now running at Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Smugglers Run Script and Story Work

The May Disney Unscripted episode covered the wider project. Friday's WDI Reel stays with the writing side: script pages, video timing, and the cockpit screen where the Mandalorian talks to crews.

One visible script beat sets up Hondo Ohnaka's mission and the Mandalorian video call before the Falcon crew launches into the job.

Where the New Mission Runs

The Mandalorian and Grogu version of Smugglers Run debuted May 22 at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

The adventure sends crews with Din Djarin and Grogu after ex-Imperial officers for Hondo Ohnaka. Engineers can choose among Bespin, Coruscant, or the wreckage of the second Death Star near Endor.

Disney Experiences announced the mission for Disneyland park in Anaheim, Calif. and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fla. The Disneyland Park version of Smugglers Run uses the same updated story as the Walt Disney World ride.
