PETA plans a noon protest Friday, July 17, outside Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California.
Organizers say demonstrators will gather near the ticketing gate at 1001 Fairgrounds Drive. The protest is part of PETA's national campaign calling for dolphins at marine parks to be moved to seaside sanctuaries.
Six Flags continues to sell Dolphin Discovery, a $129.99 in-water encounter offered on Saturdays and Sundays. The program lasts about two hours and includes three digital photos.
PETA says the protest will also target the park's dolphin shows. Six Flags has not announced any changes to those programs.
