An air quality advisory covers Cedar Point and Sandusky through midnight Thursday as Canadian wildfire smoke drifts across northern Ohio.
The National Weather Service warns that fine-particle pollution may reach unhealthy levels. The alert includes Erie County, where Cedar Point is located.
Children, older adults and people with asthma, heart disease or other lung conditions should reduce prolonged outdoor activity. Anyone who develops coughing, chest tightness or shortness of breath should move indoors.
Guests can check AirNow's fire and smoke map before heading to the park and take breaks inside air-conditioned spaces if smoke lingers.
